5034 Corfe Castle Introduced into service in May 1935. Designed by Collett and built at Swindon 31.05.1935. A double chimney and 4-row superheater fitted during the locomotive’s last Heavy General overhaul, which include boiler HD7699 and tender change and took place at the Swindon Works between December 1960 and 10^th February 1961. Last shed 81A Old Oak Common. Withdrawn 30.09.1962. Recorded mileage 1,250,714 service life 27years 4 months. Driving wheels 6’ 8” TE 31625lbs. Loco weight 79 tons 17cwt Tender 46 tons 14cwt.
